Last Updated: September 26, 2026 These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TidyLink, including the TidyLink website, marketplace, accounts, booking features, payment-related services, communications, and other services made available through TidyLink (collectively, the “Platform”). TidyLink operates a marketplace designed to connect individuals and businesses seeking cleaning services (“Customers”) with independent cleaning service providers (“Cleaners”). These Terms establish the rules that apply when Customers, Cleaners, and other users access or use the Platform. By accessing or using TidyLink, creating an account, submitting or accepting a booking request, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms. Additional policies referenced in these Terms, including TidyLink’s Privacy Policy and applicable cancellation, refund, safety, or marketplace policies, may also apply to your use of the Platform.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all policies incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements to create an account, offer cleaning services, request or book cleaning services, or otherwise participate in transactions through TidyLink. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements. If you use TidyLink on behalf of a business, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. TidyLink may establish additional eligibility requirements for certain features, services, Customers, or Cleaners when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, payment processing, or operation of the marketplace.
TidyLink provides an online marketplace that enables Customers to discover, communicate with, and book independent Cleaners offering cleaning services. TidyLink provides technology and marketplace features that may facilitate listings, booking requests, scheduling, communications, payments, reviews, customer support, dispute handling, and other services related to marketplace transactions. Unless TidyLink expressly states otherwise for a particular service, TidyLink does not itself perform the cleaning services offered through Cleaner listings. Cleaning services booked through the Platform are performed by independent Cleaners who offer their services to Customers through the TidyLink marketplace. TidyLink may provide marketplace administration, payment processing, customer support, safety measures, dispute-resolution assistance, refunds or adjustments, and other Platform services described in these Terms or TidyLink policies. Providing these Platform services does not mean that TidyLink performs the underlying cleaning services provided by independent Cleaners. TidyLink does not guarantee that a Cleaner will accept any particular booking request, that a Customer will submit any particular booking request, or that cleaning services will be continuously available in any particular geographic area.
Certain features of TidyLink may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating and maintaining your account and to update that information when necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access to your account. You may not knowingly allow another person to impersonate you, misrepresent their identity through your account, or use your account in a manner that violates these Terms. You must promptly notify TidyLink if you reasonably believe that your account has been accessed without authorization, your login credentials have been compromised, or fraudulent activity has occurred through your account. You may not create an account using a false identity, impersonate another person or business, materially misrepresent information about yourself or your services, create accounts for fraudulent or unlawful purposes, or create a new account for the purpose of evading a suspension, restriction, or termination imposed by TidyLink. TidyLink may require reasonable identity, contact, payment, business, or other verification information before allowing access to certain Platform features. TidyLink may restrict access to features when required verification cannot be completed or when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, comply with applicable law, or protect the Platform.
Cleaners who offer cleaning services through TidyLink are independent service providers and are not employees of TidyLink. Nothing in these Terms is intended to create an employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise, agency, or similar relationship between TidyLink and a Cleaner.
Cleaners generally determine the cleaning services they wish to offer, the rates they charge, their availability, the geographic areas they serve, and whether to accept or decline a particular booking request, subject to applicable law and TidyLink’s marketplace policies and technical features.
Cleaners are responsible for determining the manner and means by which they perform accepted cleaning services, including their cleaning methods and work practices, subject to the services agreed upon with the Customer, applicable law, reasonable health and safety requirements, and any representations the Cleaner makes in their listing or booking.
Cleaners are not authorized to make representations, warranties, commitments, or agreements on behalf of TidyLink or to represent themselves as employees or agents of TidyLink.
TidyLink may establish and enforce reasonable marketplace standards concerning eligibility, identity verification, background screening, safety, prohibited conduct, listing accuracy, payment processing, cancellations, disputes, reviews, and use of the Platform. The existence or enforcement of such marketplace standards does not by itself change the independent relationship described in this section.
Each Cleaner is responsible for complying with legal obligations applicable to their independent cleaning activities, including any applicable tax, registration, licensing, permit, insurance, or business requirements.
To offer cleaning services through TidyLink, Cleaners must satisfy the eligibility and onboarding requirements established by TidyLink for access to the marketplace. These requirements may include providing accurate identifying and contact information, verifying identity, completing payment-account onboarding, providing requested documentation, and satisfying applicable screening requirements.
TidyLink may require Cleaners to complete a background screening before being approved to offer services through the Platform and may require additional or updated screening when reasonably necessary or permitted by law. Background screenings may be performed by third-party consumer reporting agencies or other screening providers and may be subject to separate disclosures, authorizations, terms, and legal requirements.
A Cleaner’s completion of identity verification or background screening does not constitute a guarantee, certification, endorsement, or representation by TidyLink regarding that Cleaner’s character, qualifications, reliability, honesty, suitability, or future conduct. Background screening and identity verification can reduce certain risks but cannot identify or eliminate every potential safety risk.
Cleaners are responsible for providing truthful, accurate, current, and complete information during onboarding and screening. Providing false, misleading, incomplete, altered, or fraudulent information may result in denial of marketplace access, suspension, or termination.
TidyLink may deny, restrict, suspend, or terminate a Cleaner’s access to the Platform when the Cleaner does not satisfy applicable eligibility requirements, when required verification cannot be completed, when screening information results in ineligibility under TidyLink’s applicable screening criteria, or when TidyLink reasonably determines that action is necessary to address fraud, safety concerns, legal requirements, or material violations of TidyLink policies, subject to applicable law.
Cleaners are responsible for maintaining any licenses, permits, registrations, certifications, insurance, or other qualifications legally required for the services they independently provide.
Cleaners are responsible for creating and maintaining accurate listings for the cleaning services they offer through TidyLink. Listing information may include service descriptions, rates, availability, service areas, property types served, included services, optional extras or add-ons, estimated service details, and other information relevant to a Customer’s booking decision.
Cleaners generally determine the rates they charge for their services and may update their rates for future bookings through the Platform, subject to TidyLink’s available marketplace features, applicable law, and any pricing rules or disclosures communicated through the Platform. A Cleaner may not increase the agreed price of a confirmed booking except when the Customer requests or agrees to additional services or another adjustment is expressly permitted through TidyLink.
Cleaners are responsible for keeping their availability reasonably current and for accepting only bookings they reasonably expect to be able to perform. Displayed availability does not guarantee that a Cleaner will accept a particular booking request unless and until the booking is confirmed through the Platform.
Cleaners must accurately describe what is included and excluded from their services and may not use false, deceptive, misleading, or materially incomplete information in a listing. Any optional extras, additional services, or material limitations should be disclosed to the Customer before the applicable service is performed whenever reasonably possible.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the Cleaner’s listing, selected services, pricing, scheduled date and time, property information, extras, and other booking details before confirming or paying for a booking.
TidyLink may establish reasonable listing requirements, categories, service options, formatting standards, prohibited services, or other marketplace rules designed to promote accurate information, safety, legal compliance, and consistent operation of the Platform. TidyLink may remove, restrict, or require correction of listings that violate these Terms or applicable marketplace policies.
Customers may use TidyLink to request cleaning services from available Cleaners based on the services, pricing, availability, service area, and other information displayed through the Platform. A booking request does not guarantee that the requested Cleaner will accept or perform the service.
Cleaners may accept or decline booking requests in accordance with their availability and the features provided through the Platform. A booking becomes confirmed when the applicable acceptance or confirmation process displayed through TidyLink has been completed.
Before a booking is confirmed, Customers are responsible for providing accurate information reasonably necessary for the Cleaner to understand and perform the requested service. This may include the property address, property type, number of rooms or bathrooms, selected cleaning service, requested extras, access instructions, relevant conditions of the property, and other information requested through the Platform.
Customers and Cleaners are responsible for reviewing the confirmed booking details, including the scheduled date and time, service location, selected services, agreed pricing, extras, and any material instructions or limitations.
The Cleaner is responsible for performing the cleaning services included in the confirmed booking. Services or tasks that were not included in the original booking are not automatically included and may require the Customer and Cleaner to agree to an additional service or price adjustment through the Platform when that functionality is available.
Customers and Cleaners should use TidyLink’s marketplace communication features when reasonably available to discuss booking details, access instructions, requested changes, delays, or other matters relating to a booking. Maintaining relevant communications through the Platform may assist TidyLink in reviewing customer-service issues, cancellations, refund requests, safety reports, or disputes.
Neither Customers nor Cleaners may materially misrepresent booking details, intentionally submit fraudulent bookings, manipulate the booking process, or use the Platform to facilitate unlawful or prohibited activity.
TidyLink may cancel, restrict, or take other reasonable action regarding a booking when necessary to address suspected fraud, payment problems, safety concerns, violations of these Terms, legal requirements, technical errors, or other circumstances that materially affect the integrity or operation of the marketplace.
8. Payments, Platform Fees and Cleaner Payouts
Payment Processing
Payments for bookings made through TidyLink must be completed through the payment methods and processes made available through the Platform unless TidyLink expressly permits otherwise.
Payment processing services are provided through third-party payment providers, including Stripe. Users may also be subject to the applicable terms and requirements of those payment providers.
Customers authorize the collection of amounts associated with their bookings in accordance with the payment terms displayed through the Platform. Depending on the applicable booking and payment configuration, payment may be authorized, collected, or otherwise processed before or after the scheduled service. The payment timing and amount presented to the Customer during the applicable transaction will control.
Customer Service Fee
TidyLink charges Customers a service fee equal to 11% of the Cleaner’s listed booking price for bookings processed through the Platform.
This service fee is paid by the Customer in addition to the Cleaner’s service price and is disclosed before the Customer confirms payment.
For example, a cleaning service priced at $100 will have an $11 TidyLink service fee, resulting in a total Customer payment of $111, excluding any applicable taxes or other separately disclosed charges.
TidyLink reserves the right to modify its Customer service fee for future bookings. Any applicable changes will be disclosed through the Platform before payment is authorized. Changes will not retroactively affect the fees presented to Customers when they submitted an existing booking request.
Cleaner Commissions and Payment Processing Fees
TidyLink currently charges Cleaners 0% platform commission on their listed cleaning service prices.
Cleaners establish their own service rates and retain their service earnings, subject to applicable third-party payment processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, and other authorized adjustments.
Stripe payment processing fees currently applicable to Cleaner transactions are generally 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction for standard domestic card payments. These fees are deducted from the Cleaner’s portion of the transaction under TidyLink’s current payment configuration.
TidyLink does not currently charge Cleaners monthly subscription fees or listing fees.
Third-party payment processing fees may change based on the payment provider, payment method, transaction type, or applicable processing arrangements. Any applicable fees will be governed by the relevant payment provider’s terms and the payment configuration disclosed through the Platform.
Cleaner Payouts
Cleaners must establish and maintain an eligible Stripe-connected account and complete all required identity verification, banking, and payment onboarding procedures to receive payouts.
Cleaner payouts are processed through TidyLink’s payment infrastructure and applicable third-party payment providers.
Payout timing may depend on payment processing, account verification, banking schedules, holds, disputes, refunds, chargebacks, risk reviews, technical issues, or other circumstances affecting the transaction.
TidyLink does not guarantee that funds will become available immediately after a cleaning service is completed.
Refunds, Chargebacks and Adjustments
Cleaners authorize TidyLink and its payment processing providers to process refunds, payment reversals, chargebacks, corrections, and other adjustments relating to their transactions, to the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms, and TidyLink’s refund and cancellation policies.
When a full refund is issued, the applicable TidyLink Customer service fee will also be refunded. For partial refunds, the service price and corresponding Customer service fee will generally be refunded proportionally, in accordance with the Platform’s payment processing configuration.
Payment processing fees may not be refundable, depending on the applicable payment provider’s policies.
Changes to Fees
TidyLink reserves the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue fees in the future, subject to applicable law.
Any new Cleaner platform commissions, subscription fees, or other TidyLink-imposed charges will be disclosed before they become applicable to future transactions.
Fees applicable to an existing booking will be determined by the terms and amounts disclosed when the booking request was submitted, unless otherwise agreed by the affected parties or required by law.
Customers and Cleaners may cancel or request to reschedule bookings in accordance with TidyLink’s cancellation and rescheduling policies and the terms presented through the Platform. The applicable cancellation terms may depend on when the cancellation occurs in relation to the scheduled service.
Customers are responsible for reviewing applicable cancellation terms before confirming a booking. Where permitted by TidyLink’s policies and applicable law, a late cancellation or Customer no-show may result in a cancellation charge, reduced refund, or other amount disclosed through the Platform.
A Customer may be considered a no-show or otherwise responsible for a failed service appointment when the Cleaner arrives at the confirmed service location at the scheduled time but cannot reasonably perform the service because the Customer failed to provide required access, provided materially incorrect access information, or failed to address another Customer-controlled condition necessary for the Cleaner to begin the agreed service.
Cleaners who accept bookings are expected to make reasonable efforts to honor those commitments. If a Cleaner must cancel or cannot perform an accepted booking, the Cleaner should notify the Customer through TidyLink as soon as reasonably possible and complete the applicable cancellation process through the Platform.
If a Cleaner cancels an accepted booking and the cleaning service is not performed, the Customer will be entitled to a refund of amounts paid for the unperformed service, subject to applicable payment-processing timing and applicable law. TidyLink may also take reasonable marketplace action when a Cleaner repeatedly cancels accepted bookings, fails to appear for confirmed bookings, or otherwise demonstrates a pattern that materially disrupts Customers or the marketplace.
Rescheduling is subject to Cleaner availability and is not guaranteed. Any material change to the scheduled date, time, services, or price should be agreed upon through the Platform when the applicable functionality is available.
TidyLink may waive, modify, or refund a cancellation-related charge when reasonably appropriate based on circumstances such as emergencies, documented safety concerns, Platform errors, duplicate bookings, or other circumstances recognized under TidyLink’s applicable policies. Nothing in this section limits any cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be waived.
TidyLink’s then-current Cancellation Policy, as presented through the Platform, is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If a specific cancellation term presented to the Customer for a booking conflicts with a general description in this section, the booking-specific disclosure will control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If a Customer believes that a cleaning service was not performed, was materially incomplete, materially differed from the confirmed booking, or involved another significant service issue, the Customer should report the issue to TidyLink as soon as reasonably possible through the support or communication methods made available through the Platform.
Customers should provide sufficient information for TidyLink to understand and review the issue. Depending on the circumstances, TidyLink may request relevant information such as a description of the problem, photographs, marketplace communications, booking information, timestamps, receipts, or other documentation reasonably related to the complaint. Cleaners may also be given an opportunity to provide relevant information or respond to the Customer’s complaint.
TidyLink may review information reasonably available to it, including booking records, payment records, communications made through the Platform, information provided by the Customer and Cleaner, and other relevant documentation when evaluating a service complaint or refund request.
Depending on the circumstances and TidyLink’s applicable policies, TidyLink may facilitate or administer an appropriate resolution, which may include a full or partial refund, payment adjustment, account credit where offered, correction of a payment error, denial of a refund request, or another reasonable resolution. The availability and amount of any refund or adjustment will depend on the circumstances, applicable TidyLink policies, payment-processing capabilities, and applicable law.
A Customer’s dissatisfaction with a service does not automatically entitle the Customer to a full refund. Likewise, a Cleaner does not have an unconditional right to retain payment for services that were not performed or were materially inconsistent with the confirmed booking. TidyLink may consider the nature and severity of the reported issue, the services actually performed, available evidence, communications between the parties, and other relevant circumstances.
Customers and Cleaners must provide truthful information in connection with complaints, refund requests, and disputes. Fraudulent claims, fabricated evidence, intentional misrepresentations, collusion, abuse of the refund process, or repeated bad-faith disputes may result in restriction, suspension, or termination of Platform access and other action permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
Refunds approved or administered through TidyLink may require processing time before appearing in the Customer’s original payment method. Processing times may depend on the applicable payment provider, financial institution, payment method, and other circumstances outside TidyLink’s direct control.
Nothing in this section limits any refund, reimbursement, cancellation, or other consumer right that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Customers who experience a legitimate issue with a booking or payment are encouraged to contact TidyLink through the support methods made available through the Platform so that TidyLink has an opportunity to review and, where appropriate, resolve the issue.
A chargeback or payment dispute initiated through a bank, card issuer, or payment provider is subject to the rules and procedures of the applicable financial institution or payment provider. TidyLink does not control the final decision made by a bank, card issuer, payment network, or other third-party payment provider regarding a chargeback.
When a chargeback, payment dispute, inquiry, or payment reversal occurs, TidyLink and its payment-processing providers may review and provide information reasonably related to the transaction, including booking records, payment information, service details, marketplace communications, cancellation records, refund information, and other relevant documentation, as permitted by applicable law.
Customers may not knowingly initiate false, fraudulent, duplicative, or materially misleading chargebacks or payment disputes, including disputing a transaction as unauthorized when the Customer knowingly authorized the transaction or falsely claiming that an agreed service was not provided.
Cleaners must reasonably cooperate with TidyLink in responding to chargebacks or payment disputes involving their bookings and may be required to provide information reasonably necessary to document the booking or services performed.
To the extent permitted by applicable law and the applicable payment arrangement, amounts associated with a refund, chargeback, payment reversal, dispute fee, or other transaction adjustment may be withheld from or deducted from amounts otherwise payable to the Cleaner when the adjustment relates to that Cleaner’s booking. TidyLink may take reasonable steps to recover amounts properly owed in connection with such transactions.
TidyLink may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account when it reasonably determines that a Customer or Cleaner is engaging in payment fraud, repeated abusive disputes, intentional misuse of the chargeback process, or other conduct that materially threatens the security or integrity of the Platform.
Nothing in this section prevents a Customer from exercising legitimate rights available through their bank, card issuer, payment provider, or applicable law.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate, current, and complete information reasonably necessary for a Cleaner to understand and perform the requested service. This may include the correct service address, property type, number of rooms or bathrooms, selected services, requested extras, access instructions, parking information when relevant, and any material conditions that could affect the service.
Customers are responsible for providing lawful and reasonably safe access to the property at the scheduled service time. This may include providing accurate keys, access codes, building-entry instructions, concierge information, parking instructions, or other access details reasonably required for the Cleaner to enter and perform the booked service.
Customers should disclose known conditions that may materially affect the Cleaner’s ability to safely or reasonably perform the service, including significant hazards, pest infestations, aggressive or unsecured animals, unsafe structural conditions, excessive biohazards, dangerous substances, or other unusual circumstances that would not ordinarily be expected in a standard cleaning appointment.
Customers are responsible for securing cash, jewelry, confidential documents, firearms, medications, irreplaceable property, and other especially valuable, sensitive, or hazardous items before the Cleaner arrives when reasonably practicable.
Customers are responsible for supervising, securing, or otherwise appropriately managing pets and animals when necessary to provide safe and reasonable working conditions for the Cleaner and to prevent escape, injury, or interference with the service.
Customers must treat Cleaners respectfully and may not engage in harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, violence, sexual conduct or requests, exploitation, stalking, coercion, or other abusive or unlawful behavior.
Customers may not ask or pressure a Cleaner to perform unlawful activities, dangerous work, services outside the agreed booking that the Cleaner does not wish to perform, or tasks prohibited by TidyLink’s marketplace policies.
Customers should communicate material changes to booking details, access instructions, or property conditions as soon as reasonably possible through the Platform. If a Customer provides materially inaccurate information or fails to disclose a significant condition that prevents or substantially changes the agreed service, the Cleaner may decline or stop the affected work when reasonably necessary for safety or because the requested work falls materially outside the confirmed booking.
Customers are responsible for complying with applicable laws and building, property, or access rules relating to the premises where services are requested.
Cleaners are responsible for providing cleaning services professionally, safely, and in accordance with the services and material details included in the confirmed booking. Cleaners should make reasonable efforts to arrive at the agreed location at the scheduled time and promptly communicate through TidyLink when they reasonably expect a significant delay or are unable to perform an accepted booking.
Cleaners must provide truthful and accurate information regarding their identity, services, experience, qualifications, availability, service areas, pricing, and other material information presented through the Platform.
Cleaners must respect Customers, other occupants, their property, and their privacy. Cleaners may access only those areas of a property reasonably necessary to perform the booked services and may not intentionally access private areas, containers, documents, devices, accounts, or belongings unrelated to the cleaning service without the Customer’s permission.
Cleaners may not steal, intentionally damage, misuse, conceal, or improperly remove Customer property. If a Cleaner accidentally damages property, discovers existing significant damage, or becomes aware of another material incident during a service, the Cleaner should promptly notify the Customer and TidyLink as appropriate and reasonably cooperate with any resulting review.
Cleaners may not engage in harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, violence, sexual conduct or requests, exploitation, stalking, fraud, coercion, or other abusive or unlawful behavior toward Customers or other users of the Platform.
Cleaners may not bring another person into a Customer’s property to participate in or accompany a cleaning service unless that person is permitted under the applicable booking and TidyLink policies and, where appropriate, the Customer has been informed. Cleaners may not allow an unauthorized person to perform a booking through the Cleaner’s account.
Cleaners must use reasonable care when handling Customer keys, access codes, alarm information, building credentials, or other property-access information and may use such information only as reasonably necessary to perform the applicable booking. Cleaners may not retain, copy, share, or use access information for an unauthorized purpose.
Cleaners are responsible for following applicable laws and reasonable safety requirements while performing services. A Cleaner may decline or discontinue work when the Cleaner reasonably believes that conditions present a material safety risk, involve unlawful activity, require services materially outside the confirmed booking, or require specialized work the Cleaner is not qualified or equipped to perform.
Cleaners must reasonably cooperate with TidyLink regarding legitimate customer-service matters, safety reports, payment disputes, refund reviews, property-damage reports, or investigations of potential violations relating to their bookings.
Cleaners are responsible for maintaining any licenses, permits, registrations, certifications, insurance, or other requirements applicable to their independent cleaning activities and for complying with their own tax and business obligations.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that Cleaners have lawful and reasonably safe access to the service location at the scheduled time. When access requires a key, entry code, building credential, concierge authorization, alarm instruction, or other access method, the Customer is responsible for providing accurate and timely information necessary for the Cleaner to enter and leave the property.
Customers and Cleaners must use reasonable care with keys, access codes, alarm information, and other security credentials exchanged in connection with a booking. Such information may be used only for purposes reasonably necessary to complete the applicable service and may not be copied, retained, disclosed, or used for an unauthorized purpose.
Customers are responsible for informing the Cleaner of pets or other animals that may be present at the property and for taking reasonable measures to prevent animals from creating an unsafe working condition, interfering materially with the service, or escaping from the property. A Cleaner may decline to enter or may stop a service if an animal reasonably appears to present a safety risk.
The applicable Cleaner listing or booking details may specify whether cleaning supplies or equipment will be provided by the Cleaner, Customer, or both. Customers should communicate known allergies, sensitivities, surface-specific restrictions, or other material concerns regarding cleaning products before the service when reasonably practicable. Cleaners should use cleaning products and equipment in accordance with applicable instructions and reasonable safety practices.
Unless specifically agreed to as part of the booking and lawfully permitted, Cleaners are not required to handle or clean hazardous materials or conditions requiring specialized remediation. These may include human or animal waste beyond ordinary household cleaning, blood or other potentially infectious materials, needles or sharps, toxic substances, significant mold, dangerous chemicals, active pest infestations, crime-scene conditions, or other materials that reasonably require specialized training, equipment, licensing, or protective measures.
Customers must not knowingly expose a Cleaner to concealed hazards or materially unsafe conditions. Cleaners should promptly communicate significant safety concerns discovered at the property and may decline, pause, or discontinue affected services when they reasonably believe continuing would create a material risk of injury, unlawful activity, significant property damage, or exposure to hazardous conditions.
A Cleaner’s reasonable decision to decline or discontinue work because of an undisclosed or unexpected safety condition does not automatically constitute a Cleaner no-show or improper cancellation. Any resulting payment, cancellation, or refund issue may be reviewed under TidyLink’s applicable policies based on the circumstances.
Customers and Cleaners should promptly report significant safety incidents occurring in connection with a TidyLink booking through the support methods made available by TidyLink.
Customers and Cleaners should promptly report significant incidents arising in connection with a TidyLink booking, including alleged property damage, missing or stolen property, personal injury, unauthorized access, or other serious safety or security concerns.
A user reporting an incident should provide accurate information and reasonably available documentation relevant to the matter. Depending on the circumstances, this may include photographs or videos, a description of the incident, the date and approximate time of occurrence, marketplace communications, receipts or other evidence of ownership or value, repair estimates, police or incident reports when applicable, and other information reasonably necessary to review the matter.
Cleaners should promptly disclose accidental property damage that occurs while performing a service and reasonably cooperate with the Customer and TidyLink regarding documentation and review of the incident. Customers should not knowingly attribute pre-existing damage, ordinary wear and tear, or unrelated loss to a Cleaner.
TidyLink may review information reasonably available through the Platform and information submitted by the Customer and Cleaner in connection with an incident. TidyLink may facilitate communication, request additional information, take marketplace safety or account action, assist with an applicable payment or dispute process, or take other reasonable measures consistent with TidyLink’s policies and applicable law.
TidyLink’s review of an incident does not constitute an admission or determination of legal liability by TidyLink, the Customer, or the Cleaner. Unless TidyLink expressly offers a separate protection, guarantee, insurance, or reimbursement program in writing, use of the Platform does not by itself create a guarantee that TidyLink will reimburse a Customer or Cleaner for property damage, theft, loss, injury, or other claimed damages.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a Customer or Cleaner from contacting law enforcement, emergency services, an insurer, or another appropriate authority when reasonably necessary. Emergencies or situations involving an immediate threat to personal safety should be directed to appropriate emergency services rather than relying on TidyLink support as an emergency-response service.
Users must not knowingly submit false reports, fabricated evidence, inflated claims, or materially misleading information regarding an incident. Fraudulent or abusive claims may result in account restriction, suspension, termination, recovery of improperly obtained amounts where legally permitted, or other appropriate action.
TidyLink may preserve or disclose information relating to an incident when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect the rights or safety of users or others, investigate suspected fraud or unlawful activity, or enforce these Terms, subject to TidyLink’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
TidyLink may allow Customers and Cleaners to submit, upload, send, or display content through the Platform, including profile information, listing descriptions, messages, photographs, before-and-after cleaning photos, reviews, ratings, comments, and other materials (“User Content”).
Users retain ownership of User Content they submit, subject to the rights granted in these Terms. By submitting User Content through TidyLink, you grant TidyLink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, process, transmit, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure, improve, administer, and enforce the Platform; facilitate bookings and communications; provide customer support; investigate disputes or safety concerns; prevent fraud; and comply with applicable law.
Users may submit only User Content that they have the right to provide. Users may not upload or share content that unlawfully infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, or that contains unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, or malicious material.
Before-and-after photographs or other photographs taken in connection with a cleaning service should be limited to what is reasonably relevant to documenting the condition or completion of the booked service. Users should take reasonable care to avoid unnecessarily capturing people, confidential documents, financial information, computer screens, family photographs, medication information, access codes, security systems, or other sensitive personal information.
Photos or other content submitted for purposes of documenting a booking, complaint, refund request, property-damage report, safety issue, or dispute may be reviewed by TidyLink and, when reasonably necessary, shared with the Customer, Cleaner, payment provider, service provider, insurer, legal authority, or other appropriate party, subject to applicable law and TidyLink’s Privacy Policy.
TidyLink may provide messaging or other communication features to facilitate interactions between Customers and Cleaners. Users should use these features responsibly and may not use them to harass, threaten, defraud, exploit, spam, or unlawfully obtain or disclose another person’s information.
TidyLink may retain and review communications made through the Platform when reasonably necessary for customer support, booking administration, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, enforcement of these Terms, improvement of the Platform, or compliance with applicable law, as further described in TidyLink’s Privacy Policy.
Reviews and ratings should reflect genuine experiences with a booking or marketplace interaction. Users may not submit fake reviews, offer or accept improper incentives for deceptive reviews, coordinate review manipulation, retaliate against another user through a knowingly false review, or knowingly make materially false statements about a Customer or Cleaner.
TidyLink may moderate, restrict, remove, or decline to display User Content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or TidyLink’s marketplace policies. TidyLink may also take reasonable steps to address suspected review manipulation or other misuse of User Content features.
Nothing in this section gives TidyLink ownership of a user’s original User Content, except for TidyLink’s own intellectual property or content independently created by or for TidyLink.
Customers, Cleaners, and other users must use TidyLink lawfully, honestly, and in a manner that respects the safety, privacy, property, and rights of others.
Users may not use TidyLink to engage in, facilitate, encourage, or attempt any fraudulent, deceptive, unlawful, abusive, threatening, violent, exploitative, discriminatory, or intentionally harmful conduct.
Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: theft or attempted theft; intentional property damage; fraud or payment fraud; false identities or impersonation; falsified credentials or verification information; fraudulent bookings, refunds, claims, or chargebacks; harassment; stalking; threats; intimidation; violence; sexual harassment or unwanted sexual conduct; exploitation; unlawful discrimination; retaliation; knowingly false safety reports; misuse of another person’s personal information; and unauthorized access to another user’s account or property.
Users may not use the Platform to request, offer, arrange, or perform illegal services or activities. Customers may not pressure Cleaners to perform dangerous, unlawful, sexual, exploitative, or materially unrelated services, and Cleaners may refuse any such request.
Users may not interfere with or attempt to compromise the security, integrity, availability, or proper operation of TidyLink. This includes introducing malicious software, attempting unauthorized access, circumventing security measures, abusing technical vulnerabilities, using automated systems to access or extract Platform information in violation of applicable restrictions, or intentionally disrupting Platform functionality.
Users may not collect, retain, disclose, sell, publish, or misuse another user’s personal, contact, payment, property-access, or security information except as reasonably necessary for a legitimate TidyLink booking or as otherwise permitted by law.
Users may not manipulate ratings, reviews, bookings, referrals, promotions, payments, refunds, or other marketplace features through false transactions, collusion, multiple deceptive accounts, fabricated information, or other artificial activity.
TidyLink may investigate suspected violations and may take reasonable protective or enforcement action, including warning a user, removing content or listings, restricting Platform features, cancelling affected bookings, withholding or adjusting transactions where legally and contractually permitted, suspending or terminating accounts, preserving relevant records, or reporting suspected unlawful activity to appropriate authorities when warranted.
TidyLink may take temporary protective action while reviewing a credible safety, fraud, or security concern when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Platform. Any such action does not by itself constitute a final determination that a user committed wrongdoing.
Users should promptly report serious safety concerns or suspected violations through TidyLink’s available support channels. TidyLink is not an emergency-response service. Situations involving an immediate threat to life, physical safety, or property should be directed to 911 or the appropriate local emergency authority.
TidyLink invests resources in operating the Platform and enabling Customers and Cleaners to discover one another, communicate, book services, process payments, access support, and use other marketplace features. TidyLink’s platform fee supports these services.
When a Customer and Cleaner are introduced to one another through TidyLink, they may not use the Platform primarily for the purpose of identifying or contacting one another and then intentionally move a booking or transaction off the Platform in order to avoid applicable TidyLink fees, payment processes, or marketplace rules.
Users may not request, encourage, or require another user to pay for a TidyLink-originated booking through cash, check, peer-to-peer payment applications, direct bank transfer, or another off-Platform payment method for the purpose of circumventing TidyLink’s applicable fees or payment system.
Users also may not cancel, misrepresent, or falsely characterize a TidyLink booking for the purpose of completing substantially the same transaction outside the Platform and avoiding applicable TidyLink fees.
Nothing in this section prohibits a Customer or Cleaner from maintaining or conducting an independent business relationship that existed before the parties connected through TidyLink, provided that TidyLink is not used to improperly avoid fees on bookings originated through the Platform.
TidyLink may investigate suspected circumvention using information reasonably available through the Platform. If TidyLink reasonably determines that a user has intentionally and materially circumvented the Platform in violation of this section, TidyLink may warn the user, restrict Platform features, suspend or terminate the account, or take other reasonable action permitted by these Terms and applicable law.
Transactions completed outside TidyLink may not have access to TidyLink’s marketplace payment processing, booking records, customer support, dispute review, refund administration, or other protections or features that are available for eligible transactions completed through the Platform.
Users remain free to discontinue using TidyLink, subject to any obligations arising from bookings or transactions already made through the Platform and these Terms.
Cleaners provide services through TidyLink as independent service providers and are responsible for understanding and complying with the legal, tax, registration, licensing, permit, insurance, and other business requirements applicable to their cleaning activities.
Cleaners are responsible for reporting and paying taxes arising from their earnings as required by applicable law. TidyLink or its payment-processing or reporting partners may collect tax-related information and may issue or file tax forms or reports when required by applicable law. Nothing provided through the Platform constitutes individual tax, accounting, or legal advice.
Cleaners are responsible for determining whether any business registration, occupational license, permit, certification, or other authorization is required for the services they offer or the jurisdictions in which they operate and for maintaining any such requirements while offering services through TidyLink.
Cleaners are responsible for determining whether applicable law, their business activities, or TidyLink’s then-current marketplace requirements require them to maintain insurance, bonding, or other financial protection and for maintaining any required coverage.
Unless TidyLink expressly states otherwise in a separate written policy or program, TidyLink does not represent that a Cleaner is insured, bonded, licensed, certified, or otherwise professionally credentialed merely because the Cleaner is permitted to use the Platform or has completed TidyLink’s onboarding or screening requirements.
Any badge, verification indicator, background-screening status, or similar designation displayed through TidyLink indicates only that the applicable process identified by TidyLink was completed or satisfied according to the criteria in effect at the relevant time. Such a designation is not a guarantee of the Cleaner’s skill, quality, safety, reliability, legal compliance, or future conduct.
Cleaners are responsible for keeping information they provide regarding licenses, certifications, insurance, business status, or similar qualifications accurate and current. TidyLink may request documentation when reasonably necessary to administer marketplace requirements, address safety or compliance concerns, or comply with applicable law.
TidyLink may establish additional eligibility or documentation requirements for particular services, locations, or categories when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, payment processing, or marketplace operation.
TidyLink’s collection, use, disclosure, and handling of personal information is described in the TidyLink Privacy Policy and any additional privacy notices presented through the Platform. By using TidyLink, users acknowledge that their information may be processed as described in those notices, subject to applicable law.
Users are responsible for respecting the privacy and personal information of other Customers and Cleaners. Information obtained through TidyLink, including names, contact information, service addresses, access instructions, photographs, messages, and booking information, may be used only for legitimate purposes related to the applicable booking or other purposes permitted by these Terms, TidyLink policies, or applicable law.
The TidyLink name, logos, branding, website design, Platform interface, original text, graphics, software, and other materials created by or for TidyLink are owned by TidyLink or its applicable licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by TidyLink, users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, create unauthorized derivative works from, or commercially exploit TidyLink’s protected materials.
TidyLink grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Platform for its intended marketplace purposes in accordance with these Terms. This permission does not transfer ownership of TidyLink intellectual property to the user.
TidyLink may rely on third-party service providers to operate portions of the Platform, including services related to website or marketplace technology, hosting, payment processing, identity verification, background screening, communications, analytics, fraud prevention, customer support, and other operational functions.
Certain third-party services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, authorizations, disclosures, or eligibility requirements. Users may be required to provide information directly to a third-party provider when necessary to use a particular Platform feature.
TidyLink does not control every aspect of services operated by independent third-party providers and is not responsible for third-party acts or omissions to the extent responsibility may lawfully be limited. Nothing in this provision limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.
TidyLink may change third-party service providers over time without requiring an amendment to these Terms, provided that TidyLink continues to comply with applicable legal obligations concerning users and their information.
Users may stop using TidyLink at any time, subject to obligations arising from existing bookings, payments, disputes, refunds, chargebacks, investigations, or other matters that remain outstanding.
TidyLink may warn a user, restrict access to particular Platform features, remove or restrict a listing, temporarily suspend an account, cancel affected bookings, or terminate access to the Platform when TidyLink reasonably determines that such action is appropriate to protect users, enforce these Terms or marketplace policies, prevent fraud or abuse, address safety or security concerns, comply with applicable law or legal process, or protect the integrity and operation of the Platform.
Grounds for restriction, suspension, or termination may include material or repeated violations of these Terms or TidyLink policies; fraud or suspected fraudulent activity; theft; harassment; discrimination; threats or violence; sexual misconduct; misuse of personal or property-access information; falsified identity or screening information; payment fraud; abusive chargebacks or refund claims; intentional circumvention of the Platform; serious safety concerns; repeated Cleaner no-shows or cancellations; repeated material failure to perform accepted services; or other unlawful or materially harmful conduct.
TidyLink may temporarily restrict an account or certain Platform functionality while reviewing a credible safety, fraud, payment, security, or policy concern. A temporary restriction or investigation does not by itself constitute a final determination that the affected user engaged in wrongdoing.
When reasonably appropriate and legally permitted, TidyLink may consider information provided by the affected user before making a final enforcement decision. However, TidyLink may take immediate protective action without advance notice when reasonably necessary to address an urgent safety risk, suspected fraud, security threat, legal requirement, or risk of significant harm.
Suspension or termination does not automatically eliminate obligations arising before the effective date of the suspension or termination. Outstanding payments, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, claims, confidentiality obligations, or other provisions that by their nature should survive may continue to apply.
Following suspension or termination, a user may not create or use another account for the purpose of evading TidyLink’s enforcement action. TidyLink may restrict associated accounts when reasonably necessary to prevent such circumvention, subject to applicable law.
TidyLink may preserve information associated with suspended or terminated accounts when reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, enforcement of these Terms, or compliance with legal obligations, subject to TidyLink’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies that cannot be restricted under applicable law.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TidyLink provides the Platform and its marketplace features on an “as is” and “as available” basis. TidyLink does not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from technical problems or that every booking request will result in a completed cleaning service.
Cleaners are independent service providers. Unless TidyLink expressly states otherwise, TidyLink does not perform the cleaning services offered through Cleaner listings and does not control every act, omission, statement, or decision of Customers or Cleaners.
TidyLink may use identity verification, background screening, reviews, marketplace standards, fraud-prevention measures, and other safety features, but no screening, verification, review, or marketplace process can eliminate all risk. TidyLink does not guarantee the identity, character, conduct, reliability, skill, quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any Customer or Cleaner solely because that person is permitted to use the Platform or has completed a particular verification or screening process.
Users are responsible for exercising reasonable judgment and care when interacting with other users and when allowing or entering another person’s property in connection with a booking.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TidyLink will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost business opportunities, or loss of data, arising out of or relating to use of the Platform, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TidyLink will not be responsible for losses caused solely by the independent acts or omissions of Customers, Cleaners, financial institutions, payment processors, telecommunications providers, or other third parties over whom TidyLink does not exercise control, except to the extent that applicable law imposes responsibility on TidyLink or the loss was caused by TidyLink’s own conduct for which liability cannot legally be excluded.
TidyLink does not exclude or limit liability to the extent such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or restrict non-waivable consumer rights or other legal protections available to a user.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions of warranties or limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, the provisions of this section apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
No provision of these Terms creates insurance, a guarantee, or a reimbursement program for property damage, theft, personal injury, service quality, or other losses unless TidyLink expressly establishes such a program under separate written terms.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TidyLink and its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from and against third-party claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, penalties, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising out of or relating to: (a) your material violation of these Terms or applicable TidyLink policies; (b) your unlawful, fraudulent, or intentionally wrongful use of the Platform; (c) cleaning services you provide or receive through the Platform, to the extent the claim arises from your own acts or omissions; (d) your violation of applicable law or the rights of another person; (e) User Content you submit that infringes or unlawfully violates a third party’s rights; or (f) your fraud, theft, intentional property damage, harassment, or other prohibited conduct.
Your obligations under this section apply only to the extent the applicable claim, loss, or liability is attributable to your conduct or other circumstances for which you may lawfully be held responsible. Nothing in this section requires you to indemnify TidyLink for TidyLink’s own conduct to the extent such an obligation would be prohibited or unenforceable under applicable law.
TidyLink will provide reasonable notice of a covered third-party claim when required and reasonably practicable. TidyLink may participate in the defense of a claim through counsel of its choosing where appropriate. A user may not agree to a settlement that imposes an admission of wrongdoing, monetary obligation, continuing obligation, or other material burden on TidyLink without TidyLink’s prior written consent, which will not be unreasonably withheld where applicable.
This section does not limit any rights, defenses, or remedies available to TidyLink or a user under applicable law.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Platform, a booking, or the relationship between a user and TidyLink will be governed by the law determined to be applicable under valid choice-of-law principles and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of protections that cannot lawfully be waived under the laws applicable to that consumer.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings against TidyLink, users are encouraged to contact TidyLink and provide a reasonable description of the dispute so that the parties have an opportunity to attempt to resolve the matter informally. This informal process does not prevent a user from taking timely action necessary to preserve a legal claim, comply with a limitations period, seek emergency relief, or exercise a right that cannot legally be restricted.
Any arbitration agreement, class-action waiver, jury-trial waiver, mandatory dispute-resolution procedure, or specific forum-selection requirement applicable to TidyLink users must be expressly stated in these Terms or in another legally binding agreement presented to the affected user. No such requirement should be inferred solely from this section.
If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or other authority with appropriate jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or, when appropriate, severed, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent legally permissible.
TidyLink’s failure or delay in enforcing a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or of TidyLink’s right to enforce it later.
Users may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms in a manner that would materially interfere with TidyLink’s operation of the Platform without TidyLink’s prior written consent, except where applicable law provides otherwise. TidyLink may assign or transfer its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, financing, or transfer of the Platform or business, subject to applicable law.
Section headings are provided for convenience and do not independently alter the meaning of these Terms. Words such as “including” are intended to be illustrative and not limiting unless the context clearly requires otherwise.
These Terms, together with policies and additional terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between the user and TidyLink concerning the matters they address and supersede prior representations or agreements concerning those same matters, except where TidyLink and the user have entered into a separate written agreement that expressly provides otherwise.
Provisions that by their nature are intended to survive termination of a user’s account or use of the Platform—including provisions concerning outstanding payments, refunds, chargebacks, intellectual property, User Content licenses, disputes, limitations of liability, indemnification, and other accrued rights or obligations—will survive to the extent applicable.
TidyLink may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, marketplace features, business practices, legal or regulatory requirements, safety practices, payment arrangements, or other operational matters.
When TidyLink makes material changes to these Terms, TidyLink will provide notice in a manner reasonably appropriate under the circumstances and as required by applicable law. Notice may be provided through the Platform, by email, through an account notification, or by another legally permitted method. The updated Terms will identify the date on which they were last updated or became effective.
Changes to these Terms will apply prospectively from the applicable effective date unless applicable law permits or requires otherwise. Material changes will not retroactively alter rights or obligations relating to a transaction completed before the applicable change when doing so would be prohibited by law.
By continuing to use the Platform after updated Terms become effective, a user agrees to the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If applicable law requires affirmative consent to a particular change, TidyLink will seek that consent before applying the change to the affected user.
By creating an account or using TidyLink, users consent to receive electronic communications relating to their use of the Platform, including booking confirmations and updates, payment and payout information, account notices, safety or security communications, policy updates, support communications, and legally required notices, subject to applicable law.
Transactional, account, safety, and legally required communications are separate from promotional or marketing communications. Where required by law, TidyLink will obtain any consent required for marketing communications and will provide applicable methods for users to manage or unsubscribe from promotional communications.
Users are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information associated with their accounts so that TidyLink can provide important notices and communications.
Questions, notices, complaints, or other communications concerning these Terms or the Platform may be submitted through the contact or support methods identified on the TidyLink website or within the Platform. Where applicable law requires a specific method or address for a legal notice, TidyLink may provide additional instructions for submitting that notice.
The version of these Terms made available through the Platform, together with its stated effective or last-updated date, constitutes the then-current version of the Terms.
